We are proud to share that our work for Finnish design brand Männistö has been selected to be considered for a VAND Award.
The recognition celebrates the packaging we created for Männistö’s glassware collections, Jää and Aarre, a total of twelve glasses designed to bring the beauty and simplicity of Finnish nature to the table.
Founded by Finnish designer Andu Männistö, Männistö creates kitchen and tableware inspired by the simplicity, functionality and natural materials found in traditional Finnish homes. The brand’s name is derived from the Finnish word männikkö, meaning “a pine forest”, a fitting reflection of its connection to Finnish nature and craftsmanship.
For Männistö, Studio Kluif developed the brand’s complete design and 360° communication, including the packaging for the glass collections. The packaging was designed to complement the character of the glasses while expressing the distinctive, natural and contemporary world of Männistö.
We are especially proud to see the project recognised by VAND, an organisation dedicated to celebrating outstanding creative work and the people behind it. Being selected for a VAND Award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the collaboration between Männistö and Studio Kluif, and of the idea that thoughtful design can make a product, its story and its origins come together as one.
We would like to thank Andu Männistö and the entire Männistö team for their trust and collaboration. We’re looking forward to seeing where this project goes next.
