The HEMA packaging range for Pens & Markers has won a silver Bonk.
The festive award ceremony took place on Thursday evening, 15 May 2025, in the Klasse Theater in Tilburg. It was the twenty-seventh edition. In front of a full gallery, the professional jury awarded fifteen entries with four gold, six silver and five bronze Bonk awards.
HEMA’s range of Pens & Markers consists of approximately 75 SKU’s. Customers like to see how a pen writes. Experience shows that packages are often opened to try out the pen or marker. The product is regularly not put back in the packaging or the packaging breaks. This creates a messy shelf. Products can often no longer be sold.
In this concept it was decided to depict the pens and markers in combination with simple artwork that was actually made with the pen or marker in question. The artwork emphasizes the promised ‘Langdurig schrijfplezier!’ (Long-lasting writing pleasure!). All this results in a simple and effective ‘less is more’ design.
