Placing a shoe is a tradition within the Sinterklaas celebration where children place their shoe by the fireplace in the evening from the day Sinterklaas arrived in the country (the first Saturday after November 11) until December 5. The next day the children will find something tasty or another small gift in their shoe. Traditionally, the shoe is placed by the fireplace, based on the idea that Piet comes in from the roof through the chimney.
Studio Kluif has designed the packaging line for HEMA of mini chocolate letters for the shoe. The illustrative line consists of countless different children’s shoes that are in different houses,
waiting for Piet!
