HEMA’s range of pens and markers consists of approximately 75 SKU’s. Customers like to see how a pen writes. Experience shows that packages are often opened to try out the pen or marker. The product is regularly not put back in the packaging or the packaging breaks. This creates a messy shelf. Products can often no longer be sold.
In this concept it was decided to depict the pens and markers in combination with simple artwork that was actually made with the pen or marker in question. The artwork emphasizes the promised ‘Langdurig schrijfplezier!’ (Long-lasting writing pleasure!).
All this results in a simple and effective ‘less is more’ design.
